Gelatine for daily use
The chemical composition of gelatine is 84 to 90 % protein, 1 to 2 % of minerals salts, and the rest is water. The protein content or the sequence of amino acids is the same as the structure of the joint cartilage.

The joint cartilages of the human body have to be continually fed. The protein framework consists of protein fibers. The building blocks of these fibers are the amino acids. The human body is able to synthesize some of these amino acids, but not others (essential amino acids). These have to be absorbed from food.
